Liability coverage is available on a monoline or package basis for residential and/or commercial general contractors with administrative or managerial responsibility for new construction or remodeling projects and who exercise supervisory control of operations, whether direct or indirect, performed by employees and subcontractors in a variety of trades.

Commercial General Liability coverages available: 

  • Primary limits up to $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate 
  • Excess or umbrella limits available 
  • Medical payments coverage included — $5,000 limit 
  • Blanket Additional Insured when required in a valid written contract
  • Blanket Waiver of Subrogation when required in a valid written contract 
  • Primary and Noncontributory Endorsement
  • Per project aggregate 
  • Contractors’ Pollution Coverage is available for additional costs
  • Ability to cover uninsured subs (with some carriers)
  • Ability to cover risks from $50,000 in sales to $10,000,000 in sales
  • Residential General Contractors are limited to the number of homes worked on in a single project or development
  • Work should be done within the state of domicile
  • Prior Experience is required
  • New Ventures are Acceptable

Scott is active in the insurance community, serving on Commissioner Donelon's Surplus Lines Insurance Advisory Council, The Louisiana Property and Casualty Insurance Commission and the Louisiana Surplus Lines Association. Some of Scott's hobbies include gardening and exercising.
